Accounts & Connections

The accounts you need before you start, and how they connect to your company.

Niyatna runs on your own server, but it works through accounts you already own. Set these up before you install, so the setup goes smoothly.

You need at least one AI provider and at least one messaging channel. The rest is how you connect and use your company.

1. One AI provider

Your agents need a model to think with. Pick one:

  • OpenRouter — the free tier is enough to get started.
  • Or a subscription or API key you already pay for — Codex, Claude, Gemini, xAI (Grok), or a similar provider.

You only need one. You can add more later.

2. One messaging channel

This is how you talk to your agents day to day. Pick one:

  • Telegram
  • WhatsApp
  • Discord
  • Slack
  • LINE
  • WeChat
  • Or another supported channel

You only need one to begin.

3. Hermes — the app you connect with

Hermes is how you reach your company. You can use it two ways:

Connecting Hermes desktop

Setup takes one step: paste your remote URL.

That URL is the address your installer printed. Depending on your setup it is one of:

  • the random Cloudflare tunnel link the installer generates for you, or
  • your own domain or IP, if you have one, or
  • a Tailscale address.

Paste it, sign in, and Hermes opens straight into the web app.

Signing in

The installer generates your account for you. It creates a username and password during setup, and you use those to sign in. Your credentials are printed at the end of the install.

You can change the password any time from the Hermes dashboard — either in the web app or in the desktop app.

4. Multica — your company workspace

Create an account at multica.ai.

Multica is your company workspace. Think of it as the place your company lives: you chat with your agents there, and you connect the AI tools you already subscribe to, such as Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, or Grok Build.

Download the Multica desktop app if you want to connect your workspace to your own machine.

5. One last step: /niyatna-bootstrap

After Niyatna is installed, run one command to set everything up:

/niyatna-bootstrap

You can run it in your terminal with hermes --tui, in the messaging channel you chose, or in the web app. It creates your company, your agents, and the tools they use. You only need to run it once.

Keep your details safe

Store the sign-in details for each account somewhere safe. You enter them once while setting up your company, and Niyatna keeps them on your own server, not ours.
